About Boat Rental

Dubrovnik Boat Rental & Hire — With Skipper or Self-Drive

Looking to hire a boat in Dubrovnik? Our fleet of nine vessels covers everything from compact open-bow speedboats for couples to a luxury Intermare 42 yacht with flybridge, cabin, and full crew. Every boat is owned and maintained by us — serviced daily, equipped with safety gear, and ready to go.

Most guests rent a boat with a professional skipper included in the price. The skipper handles navigation while you relax, swim, and decide where to go next. Two boats — the Baracuda 545 and the Elan 7m — also offer a self-drive option if you hold a valid boating license.

Dubrovnik boat rental prices start from €150 for a 2-hour coastal cruise and go up to €1,700 for a full-day luxury yacht charter. The price covers the vessel, skipper, fuel, safety equipment, and insurance. No hidden costs, no fuel surcharges. Groups of 4-8 guests often find that renting a private boat works out cheaper per person than joining a group tour — and you get the whole boat to yourselves.

Our most popular rental is the Raptor Alesta — a brand-new 2023 premium speedboat with a Cummins diesel engine, forward and rear sunbeds, Bluetooth speakers, and space for up to 12 guests. For smaller groups, the Quicksilver 675 and Cap Camarat 6.5 offer excellent value with all the essentials.

Boat hire in Dubrovnik works on flexible time slots — 2, 4, 6, or 8 hours. You choose the departure time and set your own route. Most guests head to the Elaphiti Islands for swimming and island hopping, or cruise along the dramatic cliff coastline south of the Old Town. Your skipper knows every hidden cove, sheltered bay, and beachside restaurant worth stopping at.

For longer yacht charters along the Croatian coast — Dubrovnik to Korčula, Hvar, or Split — Yacht Charter Croatia offers multi-day routes. For one-day experiences, we've got you covered.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does it cost to rent a boat in Dubrovnik?
Boat rental starts from €150 for a 2-hour half-day on a compact speedboat (like the Pasara). Mid-range boats like the Quicksilver 675 are €220 for 2 hours, €350 for 4 hours. A luxury yacht charter starts at €850. All prices include skipper, fuel, and insurance.
Do I need a boating license?
No — most boats include a professional skipper, so no license is needed. If you want to drive yourself, the Baracuda 545 and Elan 7m offer self-drive with a valid boating license. Skipper fee on self-drive boats is €20/hour if you'd rather have one anyway.
Is fuel included?
Yes. The rental price covers everything — boat, skipper, fuel, safety equipment, snorkeling gear, and insurance. No hidden costs, no fuel surcharges. What you see is what you pay.
What is the difference between boat rental and a boat tour?
In practice, very similar. Boat rental gives you a vessel for a set time — you decide where to go. Our boat tours use the same fleet but with suggested itineraries (Elaphiti Islands, Blue Cave, etc.). Either way, you get a private boat with a skipper. Tours are best if you want a planned route; rental is best for total freedom.
Can I rent a yacht in Dubrovnik for a day?
Yes. The Intermare 42 is our luxury yacht — flybridge, master cabin with bed, full galley, outdoor shower, and crew. Day charters run from €850 (2 hours) to €1,700 (full day). Popular for Elaphiti Islands excursions, celebrations, and corporate events. For multi-day yacht charters, Yacht Charter Croatia offers routes along the Dalmatian coast.
Where can I go with a rental boat?
Anywhere along the Dubrovnik coast. Most popular destinations: Elaphiti Islands (Kolocep, Lopud, Sipan), Lokrum Island, hidden coves along the coastline, and Cavtat. On a full day (8 hours), you can reach Mljet National Park. Your skipper suggests the best route based on weather, sea conditions, and your preferences.
