This is a private sunset cruise — one hour on the water, timed to the golden hour. Every boat in our fleet is available for this experience, so you choose the vessel that fits your group.
There’s a window — maybe thirty-five, forty minutes — when the light along this coastline does something I still haven’t gotten used to. The sun drops behind the Adriatic and the limestone walls catch it full-face, and the whole city turns the colour of aged honey. The Minceta tower. The Bokar ramparts. Fort Lovrijenac on its headland. Every surface that’s been white all day suddenly burns amber, and the sea beneath it mirrors everything back.
I’ve run this route a few hundred times. I still look up when it starts.
We depart around sunset — your skipper confirms the exact time on the day of your booking. The cruise takes you along the southern elevation of the fortifications during golden hour, with the low-angle light raking across the ramparts and turning every terracotta tile incandescent. From the sea, with nothing between you and the walls, you see medieval Dubrovnik the way it was designed to be seen: from the deck of an arriving vessel.
What happens on board is entirely yours. Some couples bring a bottle of Posip and sit on the bow without speaking. Groups of friends set up aperitivo — speakers, charcuterie, prosecco. Families line up along the rail and burn through their camera rolls, then put the phones down when the sky really starts to move.
This is a private tour — you book the whole boat for your group.
One hour on the water timed to the sunset window. A cruise along the illuminated walls, a welcome drink when you board, and an atmosphere that’s whatever you choose to make it — romantic, social, contemplative. Your skipper positions the boat for optimal light without being asked. Bring a jacket for the breeze that comes after the sun drops. Bring a bottle of something you like — the cooler is stocked with ice.
Departure time calibrated daily to the sunset window. We confirm on the day — not roughly, precisely.
Welcome drink, skipper, fuel, full safety equipment, insurance, and towels. You’re encouraged to bring your own wine, cheese, or whatever elevates the evening — the cooler and glassware are there for exactly that. A good bottle of Croatian white and a board of Pag cheese turns this from a beautiful cruise into something you’ll talk about for years. Tips are welcomed, never expected.

This was the most romantic evening of our holiday. Watching the sun go down behind the Adriatic while the Old Town walls turned golden was absolutely breathtaking. Our skipper positioned the boat perfectly.
We brought a bottle of wine and some cheese and had the most wonderful evening on the water. Seeing Dubrovnik lit up from the sea at dusk was an experience I will never forget.
September sunsets in Dubrovnik are extraordinary. The sky went from gold to pink to deep purple. We were floating off the coast near Fort Lovrijenac and it felt like a dream.
I proposed to my girlfriend on this cruise. The skipper helped me plan it — he stopped the boat in the perfect spot with the walls behind us as the sun was setting. She said yes.
The welcome drink was a lovely touch. We brought prosecco as well and it turned into a beautiful evening. The city walls illuminated at dusk is a view you cannot get from land.
We did the coastal tour in the morning and the sunset cruise in the evening. Both were excellent but the sunset cruise was magical. Different experience entirely.
Four of us booked this for a girls trip and it was the highlight of our week. The light on the water during golden hour is something every photographer would dream of.
Simple but perfect. A boat, a sunset, the walls of Dubrovnik. Sometimes the best experiences are the most straightforward ones. The skipper was friendly and left us to enjoy the moment.
I was travelling solo and this was one of the best things I did. The atmosphere was relaxed, the sunset was stunning, and seeing the city lights come on from the water was pure magic.
